Gulf Oil Spill<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

First and foremost I want to be clear, this is my completely uneducated opinion on the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.\u00a0 A horrific accident occurred, and lives were lost.\u00a0 Because of this the oil rig that was destroyed severed the connection to the well, and oil began to flow from deep with in the Earth into the ocean.\u00a0 Many people seem to be outraged at BP.\u00a0 Many people can’t see past the end of their noses.\u00a0 I have heard that the oil companys get the privilege of spending millions, or billions of their dollars to drill where the U.S. government allows them to drill.\u00a0 It seems that the more expensive and dangerous drilling is in deep water.\u00a0 I believe the federal government didn’t want companys drilling in shallow water because that was too close to the U.S. and an accident might cause crude oil to sully our shores.\u00a0 Good thinking.<\/p>\n

I keep seeing messages from people “Twitter mainly” about how upset they are about all this.\u00a0 The poor animals.\u00a0 If you are so concerned about the animals, the evil oil company, and the environment STOP DRIVING YOUR CAR!\u00a0 Oh stop using anything made of plastic (although we may have non petroleum based plastics these days) !\u00a0 No tires for your bicycle.\u00a0 Oh and no fair taking that taxi!\u00a0 If you want to complain, fine complain, but include yourself in the complaint.\u00a0 Also include yourself because you didn’t let the federal government that you want company to drill for oil where it is the easiest less likely place to have an accident and an oil spill.<\/p>\n

While you are at it how about the next time you have\u00a0 an automobile accident the government puts pressure on you to agree to ALL the damages, including any doctor visits\u00a0 and days off for work.\u00a0 No need for you to be heard in court, just agree to it or else.\u00a0 I am less likely to blame Obama for this, I mean what’s he going to do?\u00a0 Get a sponge and get busy cleaning up the oil?\u00a0 I blame the federal government for this mess.\u00a0 I blame\u00a0 the environmentalists.\u00a0 I blame all of you that bitched and complained about nuclear power.<\/p>\n

To add insult to injury the government (this time it IS Obama) says no more drilling for six months!\u00a0\u00a0 How many jobs is that?\u00a0 20,000 jobs?\u00a0 Does this\u00a0 president know the economy is a pile of steaming crap right now?\u00a0 Sure all this started under President Bush, but the recovery should have long ago started, and it hasn’t.\u00a0 This latest knee-jerk reaction to a problem is poorly thought out.\u00a0 How many oil wells are there in the Gulf of Mexico?\u00a0 How many have there been?\u00a0 How many major oil spills?\u00a0 Please understand I’m not anti-Obama, I’m anti-democrat.\u00a0 I don’t agree with their basic principles.\u00a0 If dems feel guilty and want everyone to have their money fine, just don’t tax me and give it to them.\u00a0 You donate your money and feel better about yourself.<\/p>\n

Does BP have a responsibility for this oil spill?\u00a0 Sure, I think they do.\u00a0 Did they do something criminal?\u00a0 Maybe, but that is up for the courts to decide.\u00a0 Should our government EXTORT billions of dollars from them.\u00a0 Hell NO!\u00a0 Do you people really want corporations to leave the U.S.?\u00a0 This is the basic flaw in the democrat’s logic.\u00a0 Tax the people, tax the businesses.\u00a0 Put laws in place to make it harder and harder for companys to make money, then filter that money to people that don’t or won’t work.\u00a0 Increasing their voter base, and creating a population that is dependent on the federal government for everything they need.<\/p>\n

I don’t like this oil spill.\u00a0 I know that BP doesn’t like it.\u00a0 What should be done?\u00a0 Stop the leak!\u00a0 The federal government should be asking BP “What can we do to help?!?!?!”\u00a0 Fix the problem THEN investigate the cause of the accident.\u00a0 Levy fines if necessary.<\/p>\n

Oh one more thing.\u00a0 We had a new space program to go to the Moon.\u00a0 That’s been killed by the current president.\u00a0 How many jobs is that?\u00a0 Have you guys heard of Helium 3?\u00a0 Well that’s the stuff that is in abundance on the Moon.\u00a0 It seems that helium 3 can be used in fission to create a clean, radiation free, electricity created directly from the process.\u00a0 So you nuclear power plant haters out there here is a fuel that would be an amazingly clean fuel source with in our technical capabilities and we just killed the Moon base project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
